During a journey home, the master of the Wuthering Heights estate, Mr. Earnshaw, rescues a solitary orphan from the streets. Thus, Heathcliff gains a home, a family, and a confidante, forming an unbreakable bond with the master\'s daughter, Catherine. Upon Mr. Earnshaw\'s death, Catherine\'s brother, Hindley, inherits the manor. Consumed by lifelong animosity and envy toward Heathcliff, Hindley forces the young man to remain at the estate solely as a servant. His only solace is the time he shares with Catherine.
