Two U.S. Embassy secretaries—known as \"ponies\" (persons of no interest)—find themselves thrust into the high-stakes world of the CIA following the mysterious deaths of their husbands. Bea, the Russian-speaking daughter of Soviet émigrés, and Twila, a spunky small-town girl, must navigate a web of conspiracy to uncover the truth behind what really happened.
