Twelve-year-old Percy Jackson lives an ordinary life, unaware that he possesses supernatural powers. Trouble follows the protagonist at every turn, and he frequently changes schools. At his new school, Percy tries to fit in, but is soon attacked by his own math teacher, who reveals herself to be a mystical Fury. After fending off her attack, Percy discovers his true heritage and heads to Camp Half-Blood, where children born of gods and mortals are trained. There, he learns that he is the son of Poseidon, the god of the sea. Soon, Percy embarks on perilous adventures involving the gods of the Ancient Greek Pantheon.
