In the latest psychological thriller on Prime Video, \"Harlan Coben\'s The Stranger,\" best-selling author Coben and BAFTA award winner (and frequent collaborator) Danny Brocklehurst explore two of the most terrifying experiences of the human condition: death and grief. The series with a biblical title tells the story of Joel \"Laz\" Lazarus (played by Sam Claflin), a forensic psychologist who, after his father Dr. L\'s (played by Bill Nighy) suicide, begins to experience troubling and unexplained phenomena. While trying to make sense of Dr. L\'s inexplicable death, Laz also reflects on the unsolved murder of his twin sister Sutton (played by Eloise Little), which occurred 25 years ago. As a result, Laz finds himself on a twisted path of unresolved cases that threaten to shake his sanity. Shocking and captivating, the show presents a dizzying mystery, the true essence of which is only revealed at the very end.
