The Seed of the Sacred Fig

Immersed in the turbulent political climate of Tehran, investigating judge Iman finds himself wrestling with a growing sense of paranoia. As he becomes increasingly suspicious, he starts to suspect his own wife and daughters when his gun mysteriously disappears. In an attempt to maintain control, he resorts to implementing strict and oppressive measures, which ultimately put a strain on his family relationships, as the once steadfast societal norms begin to crumble.
