John Wayne Gacy: Devil in Disguise — Season 1 is an American true-crime drama about the notorious serial killer known as “The Killer Clown.” From 1972 to 1978, John Wayne Gacy kidnapped, assaulted, and murdered 33 young men and boys, burying their bodies in his yard and beneath his house. For years, police struggled to identify the culprit, as Gacy’s seemingly perfect life concealed his monstrous crimes. Outwardly, he was a respected businessman and active community member who spent his free time entertaining sick children dressed as a clown.

The series explores the double life of the murderer, the tragic fates of his victims, and the relentless investigation that finally exposed him — while also portraying the heartbreaking grief of the victims’ families. Of the 33 victims, five remain unidentified to this day.
