The action takes place five years before the events described in the series "The Death List". Ben Edwards, an elite Navy SEAL, faces a turning point in his career. After a fateful operation, he loses his status in the SEAL and is forced to become an operative of a shadow unit of the CIA. Together with James Rice, Ralph Hastings, and Mohammed Farouk, he immerses himself in the world of secret missions in Iraq and beyond. Each operation exposes the dark sides of war and gradually pushes Ben towards betrayal.
