Sophie O'Neil, who once led a glossy magazine, decides to move with her husband and son from New York to a quiet town in East Texas. There she meets the socialite Margot Banks, who organizes a club for local women where they can drink, shoot clay pigeons, and discuss everything under the sun. Sophie falls under Margot's charm, but realizes that things are not right when a girl's body is found on the edge of the forest and the club members are the first on the suspect list.
