Morgan and her sixteen-year-old daughter Clara most of all want to be different from each other. The mother is afraid that her daughter will repeat her mistakes of youth. The daughter, however, free-spirited and stubborn, follows her own path. As a result of a personal tragedy, their world falls apart, and in search of solace, the mother becomes closer to an old friend, while Clara meets a local heartbreaker and troublemaker.
